BIBD (Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam)

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) is the largest Bank and the sole Islamic Bank in Brunei Darussalam. It was formed by the merger of two earlier local Islamic financial institutions, Islamic Bank of Brunei and Islamic Development Bank of Brunei, and began operations in 2006. It caters to the Brunei population in providing Syariah compliant financial services to its customers. The bank is committed in achieving both its corporate vision of "Enhancing quality of life through Financial Solutions" and Brunei Darussalam's National Vision 2035 in attaining developed nation status.

What does the company do well?

BIBD is one of the Islamic bank of Brunei, and the bank do well in financial solutions loan services.  BIBD  also provide saving accounts for their customer, such as

1) Personal Financing

2) Home Financing

3) Study Financing

Is the company strong in its market?

So far in Brunei Darussalam , BIBD is one of the trusted bank and they give small interest to the customer for every loan. One of the strong in its market is house financial loan, for example we can get the loan nearly 1 million Brunei dollars, depends on our salary and what we need. BIBD also do well in online banking, we can pay bills through online and its 100% secure.

Weaknesses
what does the company do poorly?

One of the disadvantages of the bank is the ATM machine. The ATM machine is too slow and not up to date. Sometimes the machine is broken and they took so long to fix it.

What problems could be avoided?

The problems that can be avoided, is to make sure all the services doing well, make a new financial solution and feel safe when we spend all our saving. Avoid lack of services.

Opportunities
Do new markets exist for the company?

Yes, now BIBD just launch the debit card. So the BIBD debit card can use all over the world and it more easy and trusted. We can just use the debit card for buy things without bought cash money.

Can new technologies be exploited?

Yes, so far the new technologies can be exploited, for example online banking services. We can use the online banking to pay all our bills, we can save time without go to the counter and its more safe.

Threats
What are competitors doing well?

Now days all banks compete between to each other, they promote marketing strategy using they own ways, like they advertised through internet and make a carnival day. Usually they make promotion for attract people to use loans with less interest.

Are there changes in the business environment?

Yes, we can see the changes in the business environment such as performance, services, promote a new financial solution with less interest and system development.

I find that, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) is one of the top bank and approved by the government of Brunei Darussalam. I have researched that all the financial solutions is more use full to the people. They provide a better financial solutions and make people had a high standard of living.

My opinion, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam is one of the largest and one of the trusted bank. The bank is 100% secure and had a high amount interest if we make a saving. We can use all the financial solutions in the right ways.
